With my son Kristopher last summer (2006) at an airfield in Russia, where the world championships of parachuting were held. My favorite moment was eating at a brand new McDonalds in town. Next to the McD's, on a giant pedestal, was a full-sized Mig 23, my old enemy when I was a F-15 fighter pilot, practicing WWIII scenarios. We had to shoot down about nine Mig-23s each … of course, that only lasted a day or two before the nukes started flying and we blew up the world. Thank God it didn't happen.
How cool is that? We didn't blow up the world, and I got to have a burger with my son at a McDonalds in Russia. There IS hope that we can keep from burning up the world!!!
